Our family has homesteaded and farmed the Canadian prairies since 1909.
Today, we're growing food, producing renewable energy, prioritizing regenerative agriculture, advocating for best practices internationally, and helping shape the future of farming. We are being the change we wish to see in the world, leading by example in our own beloved community.
We care about people, potatoes and our planet!

People are at the centre of everything we do, and we have the best. We simply could not do what we do without our phenomenal crew.

Our farm is a diverse operation comprising of:

Regen Ag refers to farming practices that aim to improve soil health and water quality, enhance biodiversity, optimize water use, minimize or repurpose waste, and reduce the impact of synthetic inputs.
Improving and maintaining soil health is a serious priority on the Perry Family Farm. We believe in the future of regenerative agriculture and integrating renewable energy— that it can be productive, profitable, and regenerative.
It starts here:
“Healthy soils for healthy crops for a healthier population” - Harold Perry

Grow the Energy Circle Ltd. (GrowTEC) was born from a simple idea: what if a farm could produce both food and renewable energy while giving more back to the land than it takes?
Founded by Perry Family Farm in 2012, GrowTEC demonstrates a circular approach to agriculture, transforming organic waste into valuable resources, reducing emissions, and helping build a more sustainable future.
Alongside our partner EverGen, GrowTEC's on-farm biogas facility converts organic materials such as manure, food waste, and agricultural by-products into Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), which is injected into the gas system and used to help decarbonize the natural gas grid.
At a glance:
Waste → Biogas → RNG → Energy → Nutrients → Food
For us, GrowTEC is more than a renewable energy project—it's proof that agriculture can be part of the climate solution.

Gerry did a phenomenal job leading the farm from 1968 until the 4th Gen stepped up. The sparkle in his eye and his love for spreading gratitude are well known around our community and are a key part of our success. If you are lucky, you get spuds delivered from Gerhard throughout the year, still our #1 PR man, he also runs spud donations to the food bank throughout the year.
Birthe was born and raised in Odense, Denmark, before moving here and becoming the beloved matron of our Perry family. We owe much to her and wisdom.

Brothers Chris (Kyra) and Harold (Jill) Perry have been actively managing the farm together since 1998. They are progressive leaders with a vision to integrate environmental stewardship and innovative technology into agriculture and the rural Alberta landscape. These brothers are infamous for being too fun and spreading happiness everywhere they go.
