On Friday May 29, Western Tractor, McCain Foods and J.E.B. Transport are hosting a special event to raise money for HALO Air Ambulance while supporting potato farmers!

On Friday May 29th, McCain Foods will be giving away 7000 bags of free french fries at Western Tractor dealerships across Southern Alberta!
With this event, the companies involved are hoping to raise $100,000 in online donations for HALO Air Ambulance — the only dedicated medevac helicopter for Southern Alberta
HALO relies heavily on fundraisers to operate and we rely on HALO to save our lives when accidents happen.
Because of the pandemic, traditional fundraisers are not running and HALO is in need of financial assistance to continue saving lives!
Participating in FREE FRY DAY is also an awesome way to support Canadian Potato farmers!
Because restaurants are closed, there is a massive surplus of french fries and potatoes. McCain Foods has created a campaign to promote french fry consumption in support of Canadian Potato Farmers

Covid has posed a challenge to the food supply chain as we have heard in the news. Yet we all need to eat and we rely on people to get our food from farmers to processors to retail and to customers. Chris had the idea to help show our sincere support for the food industry workers. We are very grateful for the workers at all food processing plants across the province, country and world that help feed our planet. We (Perry Family Farm, Prairie Gold Produce and Chinook Trucking) together offered this small but sincere gesture of gratitude of a 10lb bag of spuds to the workers at JBS where a COVID outbreak occurred. We hope the employees will appreciate it and feel the love from the food chain - From Farmer to processor to truckers to retailer and all the people that help in-between - a great big giant THANK YOU!
